JUNE 2021

Dear members,

Yep, it's hot out there! How many times have you discussed the weather with your clients this week? I'd hazard a guess that you've probably lost count by now.

Your board of directors has been busy this week with their first in-person meeting of the year. Some big topics came up, and we have some exciting announcements that will be coming your way over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

In case you missed it, KAR's weekly blog has been published online. Got some suggestions? Feel free to reach out to communications@kar.realtor with your ideas.

And finally, I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that SentriCards will be phased out by the end of 2021. To help you navigate this change we have included a section below which includes helpful links to various online resources.

Keep cool and stay safe!

SentriCards will be decommissioned at the end of 2021, which means it's a good time to start using the SentriKey app.

Education

KAR and KADREA recently launched a three-tiered New Member Orientation Program and we'd like to extend an invitation to any KAR member who is interested in an overview of the systems available as part of their membership.

Antarang Das will be presenting monthly webinars where he and Joelle Lavack will be available to answer questions and walk you through the basics of the tech services offered by your association. Although these webinars are directed at new members, all members are invited to attend. Visit the KAR Member Portal for registration details.

On a separate note, the latest additional learning opportunities include:

  • FINTRAC Regime Update webinar on July 14th, hosted by CREA

  • Updates and new online courses now available on BCREA's Learning Hub

For more details visit the KAR Member Portal: it's your one-stop shop for education information.

Don't forget

If you acquire PDP hours outside of what is facilitated by KAR, you need to upload your proof of completion via the KAR Member Portal.
