As we settle into the new year I am reminded that 2021 brings with it some important projects for KAR and its members.
First, I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Chuck Bennett and I am very happy to serve on KAR’s board of directors as the 2021 President.
We’re kicking off the year by bringing back our monthly newsletter with a new spin: the focus of these communications will be specific to the work carried out by the directors, committees, and staff so that our members can remain informed.
Last year we successfully engaged our committees to help guide the operational plan of the organization, and we plan to keep them busy again in 2021. The committee chairs are finalizing their member lists but there’s always room for more! If you’re interested in joining any of these committees, feel free to send your details to email@example.com.

We’re also keeping brokers engaged with quarterly broker meetings which started last week. These are great opportunities for generating conversations and highlighting some important updates.
Finally, I want to express that our directors and staff are always on hand to assist where we can. We’ll keep a “contact us” section updated in this newsletter so that you know how to reach us when you need us.

You may have noticed there have been a few updates in
Xposure recently, and more are on the way.
Here's are the most recent updates:
1. The ability to Save property lists for each Client
2. The name and address of the subject property on all 8 steps in Autoload
3. The ability to check the actual search that was used at the time of sending a Gateway link
4. A 'Show Listings near me' feature within the Search tab (when you use Xposure on mobile)
5. Include/remove assessment info before sending CMA Gateway
And we're looking forward to the following:
1. Full implementation of the Xposure Meets feature (P2P Video Conferencing)
2. Client timeline to have a PCS search toggle button
3. Ability to add email attachments within Xposure
Reporting your sales on time is more important than you might think.
According to KAR's MLS® Rules of Cooperation, all sales must be reported within five days of the offer becoming unconditional.
But why does this matter so much? While there are many reasons to list, one in particular has become even more evident since KAR started releasing monthly press releases.
If you don't report your sales on time, those numbers don't get counted in the official press releases. Ever. And although we don't like to brag (too much) some months those press releases are reaching over 2000 people even before they make it to the papers, and REALTORS® are left trying to explain the discrepancy between what they're seeing in Xposure vs. what's released to the public.
We strongly urge you to report your sales on time - for everyone's benefit.
